RIC #54 - Diane von Furstenberg

Hi everyone,

Just stopping by for another Runway Inspired Challenge #54 entry.  This week's entry is a dress from Diane Von Furstenberg.

I just love the bold colors.  I hope my card was able to do justice for this dress.

Here's challenge #54
 Here's my entry:

I decided to go simple this time around and used my Papertrey Ink Happy Hexagons stamp set to replicate the pattern found on the dress.  I then used a lot of black lines such as the hexagon outline as well as the thank you scripts (Studio Calico) to finish off the card.  I used VersaFine Onyx black ink which I absolutely love.  The lines are just so crisp and dark.  The side panel repeats the hexagon outlines with a piece of vellum on top to soften the lines.

That's all for now.  Hope this inspires some crafting.

Take care all,

  1. Hi Janet!! I love your bold and fun design! The off-center stamping from the hexagons is brilliant! I also love the use of vellum in this! So glad that you join the fun with us at Runway Inspired Challenge!

  2. This one is so nice! I wonder what you'd think about using a black card stock to make it even more bold. Really enjoying the hexagon design, what a beautiful card :)

  3. So Pretty!!! Love this Janet,,,Awesome design :)
